Mixed Solid Waste (MSW) or traditional waste covers all trash or garbage created and disposed of by your business. It includes any recycling and compostable materials and excludes hazardous waste. Typically when referring to MSW the assumption is that 100% of this waste is reaching landfills.

Why It's A Problem

With landfills across Canada reaching their capacity, it's becoming increasingly more essential for businesses to focus on diversion efforts. Waste that contains valuable recyclable materials is still reaching our landfills and compostables are creating harmful methane gas as they degrade.
